Several unique sculptures stand like silent sentinels outside, tickling your curiosity to look further inwards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As you approach, you will discover that the house has three levels. Aside from that, it has its own access to an outside walk bridge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The middle level has a massive main bedroom complete with a study-cum-sitting area, with amazing outside views that can make the weary feel happy in just a snap. Trees in the backyard provide a quiet, shady spot to meditate and feel close to nature.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The garage may look like a normal garage, but it is actually the upper level of a separate structure, with another room that\u2019s perfect for guests, and a full bathroom. Its whimsical decor, or an outside entrance where one shouldn\u2019t be, all contribute to the magical appeal of the place.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Fairy House As <strong>Private Residence<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Unfortunately, tourists and locals who wish to further see the inside of the home will be disappointed, as it is now a private residence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr><p class=\"related\"><strong><em>Read: <a href=\"https:\/\/bardonnews.com.au\/index.php\/freer-farm-redevelopment-a-clash-between-progress-and-history-of-bardon\/\">Freer Farm Redevelopment: A Clash Between Progress and History of Bardon<\/a><\/em><\/strong><\/p><hr>\n\n\n\n<p>It wasn\u2019t always that way, though. In 2008, the house was almost demolished, along with 27 other properties along MacGregor Terrace, as part of the State Government\u2019s proposal to improve the street. Fortunately, the issues were resolved and the property remains standing, ready to cast its magic upon unsuspecting passers-by, and keeping them spellbound long enough for them to appreciate the enchantments of Bardon\u2019s one and only Fairy House.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Explore the Enchantment<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>As of 2024, the Fairy House offers a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.airbnb.com.au\/rooms\/40514307?\">unique Airbnb experience<\/a>, combining enchanting heritage with modern comfort. This iconic property, listed on <a href=\"https:\/\/heritage.brisbane.qld.gov.au\/heritage-places\/244\">Brisbane City Council&#8217;s heritage register<\/a>, has been transformed into a private guest studio, perfect for those seeking a tranquil escape.
