The store is being developed at 63 MacGregor Terrace, on a site formerly known as The Village Bardon. Seasons IGA had initially announced an Easter 2026 opening, but its latest update has moved the opening date to November.

The new supermarket is set to bring another grocery option to MacGregor Terrace, with Seasons IGA positioning the store around fresh food, gourmet groceries and locally sourced products.

Seasons IGA said the Bardon store will offer a boutique supermarket experience, with a curated selection of fresh produce, gourmet groceries and locally sourced products. The retailer said the store will draw on the success of its Seasons IGA East Brisbane location while being tailored to the Bardon community.

An earlier company announcement described the Bardon site as being on a major traffic route carrying more than 40,000 vehicles a day.

The supermarket has also been the subject of a long-term leasing commitment. According to McGees Property Brisbane, Seasons IGA secured a 20-year pre-commitment for a 1,600-square-metre boutique supermarket at the site.

The property had previously been earmarked for a Coles development, according to McGees.

The 63–65 MacGregor Terrace property changed hands in late 2025, with the transaction reported at $12.875 million. The property was sold with vacant possession, according to information supplied about the transaction.

With November now listed as the opening month, the next milestone will be the completion of the new store ahead of its arrival on MacGregor Terrace.

For Seasons IGA, the Bardon store represents an expansion of the brand’s presence in Brisbane, with the retailer describing the new location as part of its wider focus on quality, convenience and community connection.
